This genealogy web site was created to serve two major purposes.

This site is used as a teaching tool to share with students and staff who are learning to make web pages. Dale is a Certified Web Page Developer and teaches Web Page Classes often. This site is old and exists as it did in 2000 thru 2007. It will be updated soon!

It is also used as a vehicle for publishing and sharing family history information and research. Included on this site (making up the largest portion of this site) is the genealogy work of Mr. Willard Godbee of Sardis, Georgia. Mr. Godbee was well-known for his work in family history which has included many families of Burke County, Georgia, and surrounding areas. We are pleased to have approximately 440 family files from Mr. Godbee.

Unfortunately, Mr. Godbee passed away a recently and we have lost a good friend. A few family history files on this site are shared freely with the stipulation that this information be used privately and personally. Any information or data from this site that is published in another form or on another site cannot be done so without the expressed permission of Dale Royal and in some cases, Willard Godbee.

Some family history files on this site have been placed into a secure area on the server and are only shared with serious researchers. Call or email Dale if that applies to you.

This site used to be located on Lamar County Schools servers and used a a teaching mechanism. I have tried to remove all references to Lamar County Schools and will clean up and redo these pages as soon as time permits..
